Organization Changed but the Evaluator is Still the Old Manager?

🔁 Organization Changed but the Evaluator is Still the Old Manager?

If an employee’s manager has changed but the performance form is still routed to the former manager, you’re not alone — the system continues to follow the organization structure valid at the time the cycle was created.

Why? Because once a performance or feedback cycle is launched, it is locked to the org structure at that moment. Later organizational updates do not retroactively update active cycles.


📌 What’s the Solution?

You have two options depending on your situation:

Option 1: Manually Update the Evaluator in the Current Cycle

If you don’t want to start a new cycle, you can simply update the evaluator manually:

  1. Go to Admin > Cycle Management



  1. Click the Reports button of the relevant cycle



  1. In the Evaluatees table at the bottom, find the employee’s row

  2. Under Actions > Change Reviewer, select the new manager and save



That’s it — the evaluation will now be reassigned. ✅


Option 2: Create a New Cycle

If you start a brand-new cycle, the system will automatically pull the most up-to-date organization structure and assign evaluators accordingly. No manual corrections needed.


🎯 Summary

When the org structure changes, the active performance setup does not update automatically.

  • To fix it, you can either manually update the evaluator in the current cycle

  • Or create a new cycle to refresh everything in line with the latest org chart.
