To start the performance process, you first need to create a new cycle.
Navigate through the menu:
Administration > Cycle Management > New Cycle
On the first page, select the “Performance Evaluation” type.
This section consists of four main categories:
Questions
Scoring
Agenda
Advanced Settings
Notifications
Here you define the questions that will appear in the evaluation forms.
Responder Selection:
Manager: Only asked to the manager. Both employee and manager can view the answer.
Employee: Only asked to the employee. Both employee and manager can view the answer.
Both: Asked to both employee and manager. Answers are visible to both parties.
Additional Options:
Add a description (appears as an info icon in the form)
Make the question mandatory
Question types:
Open-ended
Multiple Choice
Multiple Selection
💡 Note: If you do not use scoring, you must define at least one question.
The process cannot be only for employee or only for manager—evaluation must be mutual and shared.
To allow managers to evaluate employees more effectively, feedback can be collected from peers.
Peer questions can also be defined in the same three types.
These responses are visible only to the manager, not the employee.
Employees and managers can be evaluated along two dimensions: Business Results and Behavior.
You can also add a Final Score field. For detailed guidance on how Final Score works, see the related documentation link.
Scoring Type:
Score: Define a numeric range. The form will only allow values within this range.
Scale: Define names for each level. Employees see only the names; managers and system admins can see numeric values.
💡 You may skip scoring if preferred.
Other Settings:
Second-Level Manager Evaluation: If you want employees to be evaluated by both first- and second-level managers, enable this option.
Enter the relevant dates for the cycle:
Employee self-evaluation deadline
Manager evaluation deadline
Signature opening and closing dates
These dates are important for calibration and signature processes.
Advanced options include:
Guidelines: Define separate instructions for employees and managers.
Matrix Manager Evaluation: If employees have a secondary (matrix) manager, a separate evaluation form is assigned to them.
🎯 Note: If using matrix managers, configure this before adding employees to the cycle. Otherwise, each matrix manager must be added manually.
📎 How to manually add a matrix manager?
Finally, select which employees and managers will participate in the cycle.
Once all steps are complete, simply click “Create”.
🎉 Congratulations! The performance evaluation cycle is now live.
